JV Reed and Zeus Parks

The purpose and intent of the site improvements was to perform an analysis of the areas which may be available for public parking spaces to service JV Reed Park, Hobe Sound Civic Center and Zeus Park. GEP determined if there are additional parking spaces on County owned property available in this area and evaluate and examine the opportunities and constraints for expansion of parking, so that the client will be able to make an informed decision as to how to address possible parking capacity issues at these park facilities. In addition, GEP will evaluate how Martin County Land Development Regulations may (or may not) have an effect on opportunities for expansion of parking.

Project design included the design of additional parking, roadway modifications, improved pedestrian connectivity and safety, and maximize the existing native vegetation. Unique design constraints included evaluating the local communities input and concerns.
